Statement of Solidarity from the PSA
The Washington State Public Stadium Authority Board stands with our teams at CenturyLink Field, the Seattle Seahawks and the Seattle Sounders FC, in condemning racism and racial violence in all of its overt and subtle manifestations.
The needless deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other people of color over the past decade continue to plague our nation, and implore all of us to demand immediate and complete eradication of the scourge of racism.
These heart-wrenching tragedies demand action; words are not enough. Our hearts go out to the families of these victims, and we join our partners and many others in calling for immediate constructive reforms to laws and policies that perpetuate structural racism and allow unacceptable violence to persist.
On Behalf of the PSA Board,
Fred Mendoza, Chair
